Currier Evolves into Full-Service CDMO Under Alentra Brand

The new Alentra brand brings product development, precision molding, and device assembly under one name.

Currier, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that serves the medical device, pharma, diagnostic, and consumer markets, has rebranded as Alentra.

Alentra marks Currier’s transition from plastics component manufacturer to full-service healthcare and life sciences contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). The company supports clients throughout the product lifecycle, from design, prototyping and development to scaled component manufacturing and finished-device assembly.

The company said the new brand, represented by a flowing-wave logo, reflects an integrated approach to product development and manufacturing.

Currier acquired California-based Springboard Manufacturing and MOS Plastics in December 2025, followed by Massachusetts-based Sage Product Development this past August.

Headquartered in Auburn, N.Y., and founded in 1982, the company offers precision molding in Class 7 and Class 8 cleanrooms, assembly, packaging, sterilization support, and logistics. Its six facilities are located in New York, California, and Massachusetts.

“Over the past year, we have brought together outstanding development, engineering, and manufacturing organizations to create a more comprehensive CDMO,” said CEO Andrew McLean. “Alentra reflects the depth of talent and capabilities we now offer across the entire product lifecycle. Our new brand reflects a new level of speed, confidence, and end-to-end precision for customers, while uniting the capabilities of our recently integrated businesses.”

McLean was named chief executive of the company last year, concurrent with closing of an investment by Sheridan Capital Partners.
